One of the most compelling attributes of our product is its cost-effectiveness. Despite being more affordable, it does not compromise on quality. The panels are significantly lighter than other composite boards available on the market, yet they boast an impressive structural strength. Moreover, their resistance to water and fire makes them an ideal choice for a wide range of construction projects. The exceptional weight-to-strength ratio of our panels is a testament to our advanced manufacturing methodology. This process utilises only 40% of the materials required for conventional panels, thanks to the bracing structure provided by the corrugations.
Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our choice of materials. We use characteristic wood fibres known for their excellent tensile strength and flexibility. This allows for thin slices to be curved into small radii, perfect for both the flat panel sides and the internal corrugations. Our operations are based in Tasmania, a region abundant in renewable wood resources. We primarily utilise Eucalyptus hardwood and Tasmanian Blue Gum, both recognised for their strong panels, fastener retention ability, dense fibre, and excellent bending capabilities. These wood types are abundant and they can be certified as sustainable by international agencies, ensuring our panels can be exported to any country with sustainable wood source standards. Furthermore, the availability of low-grade wood in Tasmania enables us to maintain competitive pricing and long-term supply.
While our panels are primarily designed for exterior structural applications, their versatility allows for a broad range of indoor applications. For instance, they inherently exceed the performance of particle board and pressboard. Particle board is heavy and brittle and breaks down in the presence of moisture. WoodWise Panels do not have formaldehyde emissions. Therefore, they are safe to use indoors for making cabinets, shelving and doors. The lightweight design, coupled with the corrugated core’s ability not to react to water, ensures longevity and durability.
